Gong is one of the most exponent bands in the world rock, being precursors of the genres today known as Progressive Rock, Psychedelic Rock and Space Rock. Founded in 1967 by Australian David Allen, the band has gone through different incarnations in its more than 50 years, always with musicians of incredible technical ability, given the musical complexity of their work. With over 8 million albums sold, with albums produced in Brazil in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, and having 38 albums released, the band has created a legion of loyal fans around the world – referred to by the band as “Planet Gong”.

Gong shows are an event. Fused lights, projections, colors and images combine with the incredibly traveling music produced by the musicians on stage. It is a sensory show and with an impressive energy.

One of its most important members is guitarist Steve Hillage. Alongside Gong, he was responsible for creating the Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy – Flying Teapot, Angel’s Egg and YOU, three concept albums filled with jazz rock and psychedelic references – as well as several live recordings. In addition to working with Gong, in 1975 Hillage began a solid solo career, traveling the world on Fish Rising, “L”, Motivation Radio and Green album tours, the latter produced by Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason.

Owner of a unique timbre and technique, Hillage has also participated in numerous recordings and major live appearances in Rock history, such as the premiere tour of Mike Oldfield’s important Tubular Bell, Khan’s Space Shanty, Pierre Morlen’s Gong (Shamal), Ozric Tentacles, Hawkwind, among so many. He also has a long career as a producer, having worked with bands such as Simple Minds, Tony Banks, the Charlatans and many others.

Gong and Steve Hillage will take a look at Gong’s works and Hillage’s solo career in a one-of-a-kind, long-lasting concert in Brazil. According to the band this is a special project to celebrate psychedelic music and will not be repeated. To do so, few countries were chosen in which Gong & Hillage has the largest fan bases – in which case Brazil is among the most receptive.

Rating: 16 years old. Children under 14 years old may only come with their parents or guardians. Children up to 24 months old who stay on their parents’ lap do not pay.

For the first time in Brazil, Steve Hillage – the wizard of psychedelic guitars – playing classics with Gong and his solo career. An unforgettable psychedelic prog night! Unique show in the country.
